Bloc Party to tour debut album 'Silent Alarm’ across Europe
The band will play six dates across Europe

Bloc Party has announced a new tour to celebrate their debut album ‘Silent Alarm’. The rock band will the album in full at several dates this October. They will start with a show at AFAS Live in Amsterdam on the 15th. The band will play shows in Paris, Berlin, and Brussels before heading to Dublin’s 3 Arena on the 22nd. Bloc Party will wrap up the tour with a show at London’s Alexandra Palace on the 24th. Bloc Party released ‘Silent Alarm’ 13 years ago. It went on to be a hit record for the band, with more than one million copies sold worldwide. The record was also nominated for the Mercury Music Prize and was noted as the best album of 2005 by NME. ‘Silent Alarm’ was supported by the singles ‘Banquet’, ‘Pioneers’, and ‘Helicopter’.
The most recent Bloc Party album, ‘Hymns’, was released in 2016. The band’s frontman, Kele Okereke, has also embarked on a solo career. He released his third album, ‘Fatherland’, last year, and collaborated with Olly Alexander on ‘Grounds for Resentment’.
