Singer-songwriter Blood Orange has teased his return to music once again. The singer (real name Dev Hynes) shared a short video on Instagram. The clip featured a snippet of new music. The caption reads “be right back”, along with the hashtag “#BloodOrange2018”. Last year Hynes revealed that his new album was “78% done”, Pitchfork reports. He also explained how the record will discuss “growing up and childhood in England” and the rise of the BNP. Last month, the singer shared two new songs to honour Black History Month: “June 12th” and “Christopher & 6th”.
It’s been two years since Blood Orange’s previous album, ‘Freetown Sound’. Still, the musician has been busy with solo work and collaborations. He worked with Blondie on the track ‘Long Time’ last year. The singer also featured in Calvin Klein’s ‘Our Music’ campaign, modelling alongside Solange Knowles and Caroline Polachek.
