The Dallas Stars are amongst many NHL teams trying to win back fans from the latest lockout. The Stars, with this year being their twentieth year in Dallas, are making great strides in getting NHL fans to come back to them. Starting with the "Kids ticket offer" were kids 12 and under free ticket offer with the purchase of full price ticket from now through February. Another promotion the Stars are doing is the Southwest Kia Stars Fantasy Challenge, where fans get to pick the favorite players to see who gets the most fantasy points per game, with monthly prizes of autographed pucks. The Stars have another cool contest where players such as Goligoski, Morrow, Nystrom, and Derek Roy ask questions via twitter where fans have a chance to win tickets to a game, this contest will run the rest of the season. Not done yet, the Stars have the "9 Days" promo where fans can enter this daily contest online to when autographed Stars merchandise, this contest ends this Saturday, as it is a countdown to the first puck drop of the year. And finally the Dallas Stars IceBreaker event happening tonight, which is basically a practice/meet and greet between the players and the fans, with photo opts and autographs.
Finally I believe it's good that NHL teams such as the Dallas Stars are doing these events, prizes, and some even offering discounted season tickets for the fans. This has been one hell of a year for the NHL fans, most will be back, some might not be, either way the NHL has been unlocked and now it's game on.
