Of the 8 regular season games played thus far, the Texas Stars have won 5 of them in regulation, in addition to picking up 1 point in an overtime loss to Oklahoma on October 15th. Texas Stars veterans Travis Morin and Colton Sceviour have been on a hot streak, with 18 and 11 points respectively. Morin has picked up one or more points in all of the games and was named the CCM/AHL player of the week for the period ending October 20th. Sceviour netted a hat trick in the 9-3 win over the Abbotsford Heat on October 20th and had 5 points overall in that game. Rookie Taylor Peters got his first professional goal last night in the loss against the Milwaukee Admirals.

The Dallas Stars have been struggling with a bout of the flu and today it was announced that Travis Morin has been called up to the big club. It will be interesting to see if his streak continues on with Dallas. In addition to Morin's call up, Josh Robinson has been recalled from Idaho; Scott Glennie and Aaron Rome have been sent down to Texas; and Hubert Labrie was recalled from Idaho.

The Texas Stars next 4 games continue on the road until November 8th, when they return to the Cedar Park Center to face Milwaukee, who last night effectively ended the Stars winning streak to 4 games.
