The Chicago Blackhawks (3-0) come to Dallas to take on the Stars (2-1) Thursday night January 24th at the American Airlines Center. This Hawk team is coming off a great couple of wins starting with the opening day game defeating the Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings, and beating the Coyotes and Blues. This is the best season start Chicago has had since the 70's.

Now on to the game preview, with the Stars traveling back from the road after losing a close one to the Wild, but beating the Red Wings on their own ice, Dallas should be feeling some confidence going into this game at home against Chicago. The Stars are starting to get contributions from players such Ryder, getting the first and game winning goal against Detroit. As far as the Hawks go, they are a very good team, with Hossa and Toews leading them in points and with a solid defense core, Chicago will be a difficult opponent to face even with the advantage of the Stars playing at home. The only part of this Hawk team that might be questionable is their goaltending. Ray Emery and Corey Crawford have been decent giving up a combined nine goals in three games, but with the acquisition of goalie Henrik Karlsson from the Calgary Flames, makes you wonder.

So once again I'll leave you with some keys for a Stars victory. First off, attack the net, get some traffic in front, possible tips or redirects. Secondly take advantage of power plays, too many times the Stars get the man advantage and don't capitalize . Third respect the big three of Chicago: Kane, Hossa, and Toews. Finally, be physical, establish the tone early against the Hawks, dictate the momentum of the game.
