The Dallas Stars' selected Center Jason Dickinson 29th overall from the Guleph Storm of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). I have read mixed reports on Jason, many scouts have ranked in the mid to high 30's, which would tell me he wouldn't be NHL ready at least for a couple of years. Dickinson has been described as a boom or bust type of pick, so I guess we'll see.

Jason was tied for 12th in the OHL for rookies 18 goals, 29 assists, 47 points, +19, 31 PIM, 66 games played for Guleph in 2012-13. He was also previously named to the OHL Second All-Rookie team in the 2011-2012 season. Dickinson has been compared to many NHL players such as the likes of Blake Wheeler and Jarrett Stoll respectively. Jason has decent size at 6'2" 176lbs and remember he is only 17, well until July 4th anyway.

Dickinson has great speed and a high hockey IQ, the biggest knock on his game is his consistency, which with time I think will improve. He has excellent puck handling skills and good awareness in the offensive and defensive zone. Jason is more the play maker type, not a physical player, but more a of a finesse style to his game. Given the right amount of time I see Jason Dickinson blooming into the NHL very nicely. Below is a quick video highlight of Jason.
