To make a long story short, Brent Moran is a beast, at 6 foot 3, 186 lbs, Moran "stands tall" to a steady volume of shots as the Niagara IceDogs starting goaltender.

Moran, an Ontario native, has learned to stay on his toes at all times, this trait was picked up mainly by the IceDogs playing in an arena smaller in width than the regulation size, putting forwards closer to the net.

Moran's stats don't quite tell the tale of the raw talent he possesses, the 3.55 goals against average and .891 save percentage were sub-par, but if you counter in the irregular ice size in played in, and the 35 shots per game he faced, it all makes sense.

With the loss if Christopher Nilstorp to Sweden, and Jack Campbell more than likely being brought up to Dallas as backup to Kari Lehtonen, The Stars were in the need of a development goaltender prospect and Moran fits the system outstandingly.
